| Gamillah, the parent company of Altru, was founded by its president and CEO Manuela Testolini. Altru Candles, incense and fragrance oils were designed to reflect the beauty and art of cultures around the world. Altru means “unselfishly giving of one’s self to others” and was created by Manuela because of a desire to join in with consumers who believe investing in our children today brings compassionate and socially conscious adult leaders tomorrow. Manuela Testolini was born in 1976 in Canada to an Italian father and Egyptian mother, and after obtaining a degree in law and sociology she moved to the United States. She does not have children and is divorced after a five year marriage to the famous musician Prince. Manuela is a vibrant woman of stunning beauty whom was blessed with a heart of gold, which has lead her to start a non-profit organization that works to encourage and empower children to become beneficial leaders.
The “In a Perfect World® Foundation” was established by Manuela to allow deprived children the opportunity to develop strong leadership skills by expressing their everyday needs and dreams in an artistic way, by route of community-based programs and mentors that reach children through innovative strategies. Manuela introduced Altru to help fund this program so that more children can become “compassionate, socially conscious and responsible leaders.”
